About Gujarat Gas
The state government owned Gujarat Gas is set to start work on its new office. The company, which has operations in more than 20 districts, is in the process of acquiring about 10,000 sq mt land on SG Highway for the new headquarter.
AUDA chairman Vijay Nehra said they expect the transaction to be completed in the current financial year.Nitin Patil, CEO of Gujarat Gas, said the new office is needed keeping in mind the company’s future requirements.
Gujarat Gas has over 300 employees in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar; these employees operate from five offices, including three in Ahmedabad and two in Gandhinagar. The company feels the operations would become streamlined and more efficient if all employees work under the same roof.
An official privy to the development said that a skill development centre would also be a part of the new office premises. The centre would train future workforce for the city gas distribution sector.
